Organization Name: Cobra Canoa
Strategic Partner: Project Not Assign
Cobra Canoa is an multicultural organization officially established in 2025, following six years of active engagement with traditional communities across the Amazon, Atlantic Forest, and Cerrado biomes. The Institute acts as a convener and netweaver between Indigenous peoples and regenerative capital, redirecting resources to strengthen bioregional ecosystems through locally-led solutions.
We, from the the Yepá Mahsã people, seek to forge an alliance to protect our unique forests and waters. Help us come together to create this alliance: help fund us the means of transportation to start! Our home, the Cabeça do Cachorro region, at the northwestern edge of the Brazilian Amazon, is one of the most biodiverse and culturally rich areas on Earth. Covering 13.4 million hectares it is home to 24 Indigenous nations and over 50,000 people across 750 remote communities.
Despite this significance, the region lacks basic infrastructure—especially transportation. Many communities have no reliable means to access healthcare, education, or participate in development processes. This proposal responds to a direct and repeated request from Indigenous leaders: donation of 2 motorboats for regional service and mobility. This is the starting point for a long-term development.
In direct response to the aspirations and mobilization of Indigenous communities in the Cabeça do Cachorro bioregion, this initiative brings together Indigenous leaders, regional institutions, and global ecosystem partners for an immersive field research in September - October 2025. This expedition takes place across key territories in the northwest Amazon and is led by Instituto ɄHTÃ BO'Ó WI'Í in partnership with Cobra Canoa.
The purpose is to listen, document, and co-design solutions directly with communities across several Indigenous territories. Indigenous leaders participate in community-based conversations, conduct on-the-ground diagnostics, and map out regional development needs.
Immediate tangible results include the delivery of two motorboats to enhance mobility for education and healthcare access. This mission also marks the preparation phase for a regional Assembly in 2026 and the initiation of a bioregional strategy for a regenerative, Indigenous-led Amazonian economy.
Cobra Canoa uses its framework for long-term catalystic investment and bioeconomic development. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for aligned investors and institutions to form long-term partnerships grounded in spiritual sovereignty, ecological regeneration, and systemic finance.
Help us unite by river: fund two boats and an expedition to defend the Heart of Mother Earth - the home we know best.
We invite to observe, to listen and learn with us Indigenous Leaders and Indigenous communities. The Cobra Canoa framework, rooted in ancestral wisdom and systemic change theory, offers a unique pathway to bridge local Indigenous-centric solutions with aligned international partners.
