We are specialists in water, water resources and biodiversity.
The drainage channels are the real veins and arteries of the city of Santos-SP. These structural works are directly responsible for the water quality of the city's beaches. However, despite representing ecological/environmental as well as social interest, since the city uses these canals as a location, these artificial ecosystems are subject to pollution by liquid and solid waste.
We monitor the environmental quality of the canals through blood tests on the animals and detailed analysis of the water quality. We do not euthanize the animals; they are returned to their environment.
The donations will be used to maintain the monitoring of the environmental quality of the canals, to buy consumables and permanent equipment, travel and scientific dissemination.
